If it ain't broke don't fix it, at least that is what Disney adheres to when it comes to adapting their animated films to live-action ones. Alice In Wonderland, Maleficent, and Cinderella have all proven to be profitable films, and it doesn't end there. The Jungle Book, Dumbo, Beauty and the Beast, and the newly announced Mulan are also on their way.
So hearing that the studio will now be adapting Winnie The Pooh into a live-action film isn't a huge surprise. But instead of going to a headlining director for the film, they will go with Alex Ross Perry, the writer and director of the Sundance indie Listen Up Philip. Hit the jump for more. [...]
