Remember back in February when it was announced that the never-ending Halloween franchise was preparing to spawn yet another installment of the kill crazy adventures of everyone's favorite silent, slaughtering wraith Michael Myers? The word they were using this time was "recalibration," because "reboot" had officially become so last decade.
It's still happening, and whether or not that's a good thing depends entirely on you. Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, the screenwriters of four Saw sequels, all three Feast flicks, the 2009 horror sleeper hit The Collector and its 2012 follow-up The Collection, and Piranha 3DD, are hard at work on the motion picture that is now being referred to publicly as Halloween Returns. Dunstan, who directed The Collector and The Collection, is also currently on board to direct. [...]
